Incredibly sweet story out of San Francisco made unnecessarily controversial.
A 1st grade class wanted to surprise their teacher on her wedding day. So, with permission of their school and parents (two families opted out), the class of six-year-olds headed downtown to wait on the step's of city hall with rose petals in hand and bubble makers around their necks. When the happy couple came out of the city hall doors, the children swarmed their teacher with hugs and laughter and pure joy.
I think this six-year-old says it best: Marriage, 6-year-old Nolan Alexander said Friday, is "people falling in love."
Why are people threatened by this joy, this happiness?
